Architectural accessibility

Main entrance to the building
  • Due to the terrain, it has both stairs equipped with handrails and an entrance with a so-called zero level,
  • has automatically opening doors.
  Inside the building
  • there are stairs equipped with handrails on both sides,
  • There are elevators equipped with voice announcements and buttons with Braille (1 elevator without Braille), one of the elevators does not serve level -1, the other elevator serves all levels.
  • There is one toilet adapted for people with disabilities on each floor.
 

The information system for people with sensory disabilities includes signs with room numbers written in Braille and QR code information installed on classroom doors, as well as screens displaying information relevant to UAM students and employees in the faculty hallways.

You can enter the facility with an assistance dog without any restrictions (based on the Act on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities).

Communication and information accessibility

The information system for people with sensory disabilities includes:

  • plates with numbers/descriptions written in Braille and information in QR codes installed on doors to classrooms, rooms, and bathrooms,
  • an induction loop system for people with hearing impairments installed in the auditorium,
  • building floor plan located on each floor (0,1,2),
  • screens displaying information relevant to students and employees of Adam Mickiewicz University in the faculty lobby.
